Após a finalização dos braços, resolvi inserir a corrente do gancho. Queri algo bem tosco, ao estilo do Maioral, então a fiz amassando clips de aço galvanizado. Gostei do resultado.

After completion of the arms, I decided to put the chain on the hook. I wanted something pretty lame, in the style of The Main Man, then I did it crushing clips made of galvanized steel. I've enjoyed the result.

Antes de começar com os braços resolvi fabricar o famoso gancho do Lobo, usei um simples prego e um terminal de fios do tipo argola, que recortei para dar a aparência do gancho. Depois me concentrei nos braços, que vão estar em destaque.

Before I started with the arms I decided to make the famous hook of Lobo, I used a simple nail and a wire terminal ring type, which cut out to give the appearance of the hook. Then I concentrated on the arms, which will be highlighted.

Começando a tomar forma (Starting to have a shape)

Olha só o Maioral de olho em você!!! Depois de muito trabalho acabei com as pernas, tronco e pescoço: O cara ficou com cara de mal, do jeitinho que eu queria... A massa que usei foi uma chamada DAS, italiana, que encontrei no Supermercado EXTRA, aqui em Brasília (R$ 14,00). Ela é uma cerâmica fria que seca com o contato do ar. Muito boa, pois ainda podemos esculpí-la após a secagem.

Look at the Main Man watching you! After much work, I've done the legs, torso and neck: The guy got the face of evil, just the way I wanted ... The clay I used was the DAS, Italian, I found it at EXTRA Supermarket, here in Brasilia (R$ 14.00). It is a kind of cold ceramic. It dryes with air contact. Very good, we can still carve it after drying.

O Esqueleto (The Skeleton)

Aqui podemos ver o início de tudo: o esqueleto. Ele foi feito de fio encapado rígido, revestido de sacos de plástico de supermercado, fixados com fita isolante e o volume da cabeça foi feito de papel de barra de cereal meio suja (tava uma fome danada na hora e não achei material melhor) gostei desses materiais. Maleáveis na medida certa.

Here we see the beginning of everything: the skeleton. It was made of hard coated wire, covered with plastic bags for supermarket, fixed with insulating tape and the volume of the head was made of a little dirty packaging of a cereal bar (It was a damned hunger at this time and I couldn't find better stuff) I've enjoyed those materials. It fits in the right measure.

Olá a todos! Vou inaugurar o meu blog mostrando todo o processo de criação de um de meus personagens de HQ's preferidos: O Lobo. O camarada também é conhecido como : O Maioral, O Flagelo do Cosmo, Mestre da Fodelança e mais alguns títulos impronuciáveis. Na figura vocês podem ver o modelo pelo qual me orientei. Claro que não segui fielmente o que vocês estão vendo, até porque quero implementar algumas características minhas no Maioral.

Hello everyone! I open my blog showing the process of creating of one of my prefered characters from comic books: Lobo. This buddy is also known as: The Main Man, The Scourge of the Cosmos, The Fuckin' Master and a few more unpronounceable titles . In the picture you can see the pattern in which I based. Of course I didn't follow faithfully what you see, because I wanted to implement some of mine features of my Main Man.

Olá pessoal! Bem vindos ao blog Hero Sculptor. Aqui pretendo mostrar um pouco de minha arte - faço estatuetas de personagens de quadrinhos (HQ's). Esse é o meu carro-chefe, porém também gosto de outros tipos de artes e esculturas. Particularmente gosto do tema militarista e arte conceitual. Sou militar da Força Aérea Brasileira, por opção. Tenho um amor imenso por esse país e acredito nele. Por isso o sirvo com amor, a despeito do esquecimento que os nossos governantes nos impõe.
Quero também que esse blog seja um canal de comunicação com quem compartilha de meus pensamentos e gostos. Também utilizarei-o para negociar a minha produção artística. Sim eu vendo o que eu faço. Por dois motivos: Primeiro, necessito de um dinheiro extra para incrementar minha renda, segundo, acho que qualquer tipo de arte deve ser itinerante. Considero a produção artística um presente de Deus para a humanidade, dessa forma, ela deveria ser compartilhada para o mundo. Seria uma atitude mesquinha enclausurar o que você produz apenas por vaidade.
É só. Divirtam-se, idiguinem-se, perguntem ou apenas observem. Sintam-se livres nesse ambiente. Insiram os seus comentários. Educados ou malvados, pervetidos ou puritanos, afinal quem sou eu para impedir que as pessoas se expressem? E de quem é a verdade, se não a que se encontra no Criador do Universo, no qual se revelará ao nosso fim?

Hello everybody! Welcome to the blog Hero Sculptor. Here I intend to show some of my art - I make statuettes of characters from comics (comic books). This is my flagship, but I like other types of art and sculptures. Particularly, I like the military theme and concept art. I'm a Military from Brazilian Air Force, by choice. I have a great love for this country and I believe in it. That is why I serve with love, in spite of forgetting that our government imposes on us. I also want this blog to be a channel of communication with people who share my thoughts and tastes. Also, I would like to use it to negotiate my artistic production. Yes, I sell what I do. For two reasons: First, I need extra money to increase my income, second, I think any kind of art should be traveling. I think the artistic production is a God's gift to humanity, thus it should be shared to the world. It would be so petty to enclose what you produce just for vanity. That's it. Have fun, be indigant, ask or just observe. Feel free in this environment. Enter your comments. Educated or evil, perverted or puritans, after all who am I to stop people to express themselves? And who the truth belongs, but that one of the Creator of the Universe in which it will be revealed in our end?
